The proposed project consists of 29.7 acres located at just south of Loop 288 and west of Locust Street.
Multi-family is permitted in this location as a part of the current PD zoning. A portion of the multi-family has been constructed as shown on the location map above (directly east of the project site).
The developer is proposing a Zoning Change to remove the property from the legacy PD zoning and bring it into the 2019 DDC with a zoning designation of Mixed-Use Neighborhood (MN). Since multi-family is already permitted in this area in the current zoning, the purpose of the zoning change would bring the development into the 2019 DDC to modernize the development standards, landscape and tree preservation requirements, and design criteria.
The developer will hold neighborhood meetings to evaluate compatibility with surrounding development.
